UT System Regents to meet Dec. 12

AUSTIN – The Board of Regents of The University of Texas System will meet Thursday, Dec. 12, in Austin. The meeting will be held on the ninth floor of Ashbel Smith Hall, 201 W. 7th Street.

· Report on and appropriate action regarding proposed UT Permian Basin Football Initiative Business Plan

· Consider and authorize the name of the new University of Texas in South Texas

· Final report and recommendations from the Task Force on Employee/Student Relationships and the Task Force on Engineering Education for the 21st Century

· Proposed appointment of C. Kern Wildenthal, M.D., PhD, as President Emeritus and Professor of Medicine Emeritus

11:30 a.m. – Meeting of the Board in Executive Session to discuss personnel, gift, and legal matters
