Salena Brody earned her Ph.D. in Social Psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She began teaching courses at UT Dallas in 2005 and joined the faculty full-time in 2018. Dr. Brody’s courses address social issues and encourage students to use psychology for the public good. Her work with the Center for Teaching and Learning brings faculty together to build teaching competencies, solve challenging dilemmas, and develop innovative classroom practices. Her recognitions include the UT System Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award, the UT Dallas President’s Teaching Excellence Award, the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Innovative Teaching award, the Aage Møller Teaching Excellence award, and the UT Dallas Women Leading in Diversity award.
