My teaching philosophy is rooted in bringing innovative techniques and community centered opportunities to Intermedia art classes on the graduate and undergraduate level.

I encourage progressive strategies of using performance, sound, new media, video and web-based platforms as complements to the traditional material-based practice of sculpture. The interdisciplinary nature of my curriculum requires commitment to a broad humanistic understanding of philosophy, history, social sciences, cultural studies and mass media. I expect that my students will go on to validate my commitment to them by being both competent artists and complete citizens, with the latter being a pre-requisite for the former.
