While I try to impart state-of-the-art knowledge in the classroom, I realize that what I tell my students today may very well be outdated tomorrow.

So I believe that teaching a student to learn how to learn is integral to their future success. Explaining to them how the knowledge was obtained, and the history behind the discoveries, helps them develop their own thought processes and allows them to hone their critical thinking skills.
