When students are intrinsically motivated to reflect upon and challenge their existing mental models, deep learning is possible.

Thus, my primary goal is to make learning fun and safe for my students. In such an environment, students develop the confidence needed to take risks and develop new knowledge structures. Observing the growth of my students, both in the classroom and beyond, motivates my teaching endeavors.
