My objective is to teach students how to gain excitement from learning and solving problems, not just directing them on a guided tour into abstraction and principles.

From my father who was a devoted high school teacher all his life, I learned energy and enthusiasm must be brought to the class. I continually try to be innovative in making my courses engaging and interesting, and to be amiable with students so that I can learn their individual needs.
