Teaching first-year medical students is a great privilege, with great responsibility, and incredibly rewarding. I believe that effective teachers impart information with enthusiasm and inspire students with the excitement inherent in the learning experience. One-on-one interactions in the laboratory are especially fulfilling, as I see their natural curiosity at work and experience first-hand the excitement that comes with understanding.
