My teaching philosophy is to instill in students a sense of curiosity and a love for lifelong learning. I try to accomplish this through two-way communication and active participation during lectures and small group discussions. I believe that the most successful educators remember how it feels to be a student. Remembering means to develop and nurture empathy in students and to foster the concept that the humanity of their future patients commands respect and compassion.
