Despite the widely known harmful effects, about 42 Million Americans still smoke and tobacco use remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the United States.

During World No Tobacco Day on May 31st, we encourage smokers and other tobacco users to take a 24-hour break from all forms of tobacco consumption. That means no smoking, no vaping, and no dipping.

Three Things to Know to Clear the Air

1. There is no risk-free level of secondhand smoke exposure; even brief exposure can be harmful to your health (with increasing risks for heart disease, lung cancer and stroke).

2. Cigarette waste is extremely toxic to our environment and adds to campus litter and pollution.

3. Cigarette-related incidents are one of the top five causes of campus fires nationwide.

Ready to Quit?
