Over the next five years as a Patrol Officer, Sergeant Hart took on progressive responsibility; becoming a Crash Reconstructionist, an Intoxilyzer Operator, a Mental Health Officer, a Basic Instructor, and a Field Training Officer.  Sergeant Hart also served on the Crisis Negotiation Team.

Seeking leadership opportunities, Sergeant Hart joined the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB) in May 2017.  In her short tenure, Sergeant Hart has served as a Patrol Officer, Detective, and is currently assigned to Patrol as a Sergeant.  Sergeant Hart has done numerous presentations and enjoys the “community policing” aspect of a University setting.  She currently holds an Intermediate License and is one class from obtaining her Advanced.

Sergeant Hart enjoys being a part of the UT System and is committed to making the UTPB Police Department a progressive, professional, and respected department.
