Officer Lincoln was born in Angleton, Texas in 1987. She started traveling world-wide soon after graduating High School and during her college years. She spent time doing humanitarian work in several countries such as Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Ireland, England, and Tanzania. She completed her EMT Certification in 2010 and enrolled into the Police Academy shortly after; she graduated second in her class and placed second in the Academy’s firearm competition in 2011.
Lincoln began her career in law enforcement as a Brazoria County Dispatcher. Within a year, she was promoted to Patrol Deputy. As a police officer at the University of Houston, she became a liaison for college students. She spoke in “Q&A” discussion boards and participated in public debates, among attorneys and other officers, in an effort to educate the public on safety and police operations.
Within the first year of service at UTP-Houston, Lincoln was presented with the Life-Saving Award for pulling a distressed individual off the ledge of a highway overpass. She has since become a Crisis Prevention Institution Instructor, which she uses to train medical and civilian staff about self-defense and de-escalation tactics. She also became a Certified Mental Health Officer and a Certified Sexual Assault and Family Violence Investigator.
Lincoln plans to continue training civilians about self-defense, and is pursuing the Rape, Aggression, and Defense (R.A.D) certification later this year. She is training in order to join the System Rapid Response Team (SRRT) in the coming fall, and ultimately seeks to become a Detective. She has five years in law enforcement, and plans to continue her career within UT System.
