New Tools & Resources

To address rising costs of medical and prescription drug care, several plan enhancements are being implemented for the UT SELECT and UT CONNECT plans. These new tools and resources are designed to improve health outcomes and reduce costs for you and for the plan. For the UT SELECT Medical plan, new programs include:

• A new concierge-level of customer service from the BCBSTX Health Advocacy Solutions (HAS) program; 
• Virtual health visits powered by MDLIVE with $0 copay;
• A new program for dealing with knee, hip, and back pain from Hinge Health;
• A new program to help build healthy habits and prevent diabetes and other chronic conditions from Omada Health;
• A new high-tech approach to managing diabetes through Livongo;  
• A new option to get 90-day supplies of maintenance medications at Walgreens and UT-owned pharmacies; and
• Exclusive pharmacies for specialty medications. 

For the UT CONNECT ACO Medical plan, new programs include:

• A new service, CONNECT, to help make navigating healthcare simpler; 
• Virtual health visits powered by MDLIVE with $0 copay; and
• A new option to get 90-day supplies of maintenance medications at Walgreens and UT-owned pharmacies; and
• Exclusive pharmacies for specialty medications.
