ePerformance Goal Setting Training

It is time to focus on the goal-setting process for the 2023 performance cycle.  All managers should establish a minimum of one goal in discussion with each of their employees.  Goals must be submitted for review and approval in PeopleSoft by August 31st.

We will be conducting two virtual goal-setting training sessions to guide employees and managers through this process* (register for a session):

  • Thursday, July 28th at 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • Thursday, July 28th at 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
  • Please refer to the email from the Office of Talent and Innovation sent on 7/15/2022 at 3:41 pm for registration links.

The training sessions will specifically cover:

  • Benefits of establishing goals
  • Where to start and what to consider
  • Taking a holistic approach to goals
  • PeopleSoft ePerformance process (including Live Demo)

Your attendance is encouraged, given the importance of setting goals to promote an environment of ongoing growth and development. In addition to the training sessions, you will find additional goal-setting resources, including job aids for managers and employees, on our Performance Management website.

HR Business Partners are available to answer any questions and provide additional support.

*Sessions will be recorded for those unable to attend.

FY 2023 Holiday Schedule

The FY 2023 holiday schedule has been posted.

The number of annual holidays a state agency is permitted to observe is determined by the national and state holidays referenced in Sec. 662.003 of the Texas Government Code including where those holidays fall during the calendar week. Holidays that fall on a weekend are not included in the total annual count.

For FY 2023, we are permitted to observe 13 holidays. Due to the number of holidays permitted next FY year, the schedule does not include a floating holiday.

All employees scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week for at least 4.5 continuous months are eligible for holiday leave. Eligible part-time employees receive holiday leave proportionate to the number of hours scheduled to work weekly.
