The New Beginnings New Employee Orientation, hosted by the Office of Talent & Innovation (Human Resources), is a one-stop shop that provides you with a comprehensive introduction to employment and benefits at The University of Texas System.
At your New Beginnings Orientation, you will have the opportunity to ask questions of Human Resources personnel and participating System associates regarding benefits and services available to you. Your department contact will provide you with orientation details such as room location, date and time on your first day.

Parking
Check with your department for a temporary parking pass. The parking garage entrance is located on Lavaca Street. The parking garage clearance is 7 ft. You may park anywhere that is not reserved. Please observe spaces dedicated for compact and energy-efficient vehicles. Take the elevator down to the 1st floor and check-in with the guards in the lobby. They will assign you a temporary visitor badge with access to your department’s floor.
Be sure to bring
- Identity and employment eligibility documents to complete the I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification
- Proof of relationship documents for family members to be included in insurance coverage, including their names, Social Security numbers and dates of birth
- Beneficiary information including name, address, Social Security number and date of birth
