ACUE in the UT System

The institutions in the University of Texas System are known for world-class teaching and one of the ways the UT System supports teaching excellence is through a partnership with ACUE, the Association of College and University Educators.

Since 2018, the UT System has partnered with the ACUE to offer structured professional development focused on improved teaching and learning to faculty and instructors systemwide. The partnership with ACUE recognizes the critical role faculty play in student success.

With strong support from Chancellor Milliken and the Board of Regents, the goal has been to scale ACUE offerings to faculty across the System’s academic and health institutions.

By the end of Spring 2024, almost 1,500 UT System faculty will have completed ACUE Courses as part of 85 cohorts, and that number is constantly growing as more instructors enroll in ACUE courses.

In June 2024, the UT System received a Movement Maker Award from ACUE at the National Higher Education Teaching Conference in Minneapolis, MN.
