The Construction Law specialty area, within the Business Law Section, provides specialized legal services, in the area of construction law, to each of the 14 institution physical plant departments and the UT System Administration Office of Capital Projects. These legal services include:
- drafting and negotiation of contracts for construction and for professional design services
- development of standard and model contracts
- advice and counsel regarding construction disputes and other construction matters
- monitoring and coordination of construction litigation referred to the Texas Attorney General
- dispute resolution procedure representation
- advice and counsel regarding new and innovative methods of project delivery
